In question on what a 1930 ford model a chassis for a 5-window coupe is worth? Its a drivable chassis with the banger and 3 speed trans. Includes everything minus a body. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Depends on how complete it is: Radiator, brakes, steering column, wire wheels. etc? And what has been restored or rebuilt. Start at $1500 if it runs good and can be test-driven.
Nothing has been restored. It has been converted to 12v. The only thing I will do is pull my coupe body off. Everything else stays. Sent from my HTC One X using H.A.M.B. mobile app
I can't believe with all the good bodies available out there that guys are scavenging the bodies off complete Model A's.
Fenders, running boards, brackets, etc.? I sold two chassis in ths last couple years minus the above. Both running condition but far from being totally roadworthy. One at $1650, one at $2000. Both were not restored setups and rode/handled like worn out model A's generally do. Seems I may have been on the high side, however both sold quickly.
I've had my ear to the ground within a 100 mile radius of me, and haven't ran across one good body for sale. That being said I don't normally pull the shells and sell the rest. I like banger powered hot rods. But, the fenders usually find a new home....
