After a week or so pulling things off the car I finally started mocking up new parts to it yesterday. Hung the springs/axle/spindles to see how they look (waiting on backing plates/hubs which are en route from a fellow HAMBer)...

My question relates to the original front crossmember. Is there any reason NOT to use it? I am putting a 55 322 nailhead into the car and wanted to check from those that have already trodden this path as to whether there is something I need to be aware of.

I will of course be welding the existing one it, removing the bolts etc but that aside, OK to use?
