Hello To All Members I have been lurking around for sometime now ever since I needed ref for a model car that I was building. I build model because it is more affordable and easier to garage. But the time has come for be to start a 1:1 project. I have found a potential victim but as always the question from the new guy. What is a fair price to pay for this car? It has been chopped, mustang 2 suspension, SBC, 9" Ford rear, it seems that it has an after market chasis, It has drum brakes all around, seems that the brake pedal is to far to the right(manual brakes), fiber glass fenders, wood floors, still has the wooden frame around the inside top channel of the car and the front visor seems to be detaching from the wooden frame. What is a fix to get rid of the wood in that part of the car?. I will leave with just these question there are more to come I am sure. This is the link to view the car. http://public.fotki.com/modelnut/11-project-1930-for/1930-tudor/ Hope you guys/gals can be of some help. Thanks AL(modelnut)
$3000. would be fair if all drive train is solid. I personally would rather start with a stocker as I detest Mustang II front suspension in these cars. I bought a complete stocker for $3000. not long ago and I live in Canada. So you should be able to do better in the U.S. as there are far more cars down there. Take your time and look around. In these bad economic times you can likely get a good deal.
