Today got the pass front tire changed out finally and made the passenger side header. Both have been on the list for quite a while and was nice to get em checked off. Tomorrow I will paint the header. Next I will dive into getting the parking brake to function now that the lever is on there and then I can finish the floors. Gettin down to it!

Great to watch this moving along. So much being dealt with on the spot and so little coming from the outside.

Thanks man, thats how I like to build em, all in house. I'm trying to buy a commercial sewing machine right now to further that effort. There is something magical to me in those little books when I read about 18 yr old kids in moms garage with a gas torch building the car of their dreams that was featured in magazines out of scraps and bits of whatever was laying around

We ( brother, mom, dad, me) finished, as finished as it go†, my brother's '39 standard coupe in '58. Later that summer he (18) me (13) drove it from Texas to Northern California. They took the seat to a pro but my brother and Mom did the rest of the upholstery. It looked great!

Modified the brake pedal into position, modified a spoon pedal to work the opposite direction so it will function with the linkage on the 337. Also snagged a toeboard I've had laying around and trimmed it to fit the pedal placement! Chuggin along!

Yes, I did flip the pedal so it would actually work

These are the kinds of things that make a build tough. A lot of things can be planned but some things just have to be worked out. Especially on a non cookie cutter build. Keep at it!

I like the deck lid and the latches too. I have a very similar pair I plan on using on my '26 Chevy.

Hahaha exactly... I like the latches cause I can still lock the trunk with a padlock if I desire... I polished brass screws to mount em. Today has been a whirlwind I tried to film but it was a challenge. 20250526_143641.jpg
Gussets got welded in, they beefed things up a lot. 20250526_162314.jpg
Floors went back together, still need to make a shifter cover.
    20250526_162311.jpg
Choke got mounted to the dash!

Started monkeying with interior panels. Its all falling together!

Thanks! Had a great time, new electric fuel pump died on me already, blew a wheel cylinder out but and the water pumps leak horribly but its getting there and I'm happy!

All easy fixes compared to where you've been on this.

The lense on the license plate light was toast so I used some plexi

Nice job on the lense! If you quickly/lightly run a torch along the edges you can smooth out the sanding marks and make it clear for a more OEM appearance.
