Tore down the 350 yesterday so I could use the block for mock up, motor isn't bad, going to hone it, re ring it, put new rod and crank bearings in it, throw in a thumper cam and tappers, and rebuild the heads. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1377448753.457043.jpg

I also getting a rear end from a buddy's dad for $50 it's a Chrysler 8.25 it should be perfect for the wide Plymouth body

Hey guys I've been doing a lot of research and am still uneasy about caster. Where should I measure caster off of with an angle finder? Does the front spring have to have the angle too? I understand the concept of making a slit on the bottom of the wishbones and bending then welding the gap but am unsure where I should go off of.

Hope this helps but I set up the caster angle on my Model A I just laid the the dial gauge on the axle. I checked it as many ways as I could. Basically wherever there was a flat surface. Then I notched and rewelded the wishbones accordingly. It worked perfectly at 7 degrees.

Got my rear rims, planned on mounting them at work tomorrow but I got anxious and tried my luck mounting them by hand, soap and mounting them from the back side was the key, I think I nailed the look

Scored a bead roller from a friends dad for cheap, after messing up a part of the floor pan I decided to do it in smaller sections and it turned out pretty nice I think ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1385498958.810256.jpg

Got some more done on the bead roller, I'm finally getting the hang of it
    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1385561618.090571.jpg
Also I got sick of climbing in through the roof, I have been scared to mount hinges and have been putting it off for quite some time, well I had enough time to figure it out and I finally have doors that open and close
    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1385561705.436189.jpg
I plan on only using the two hinges, looks a little cleaner I think. What are your guys opinions?
    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1385561756.003044.jpg
Also I am looking for new door latches, I would like to find repops or originals vs bear claws style ones. I have been looking and have came up with nothing for repops. Maybe the same as model A??

Really impressed with your work and especially with the quality at a young age. I've been building a 33 Dodge coupe (can see the thread on HAMB), but started with a good running car, so I didn't have to do all the repair work you have. You have excellent ideas. Keep the updates coming.

Big thanks to Rotten Leonard's. The seats are great, delivery was fast, and price was unbeatable. I went with 16" wide seats which are 2" narrower than the standard seats he sells. Wishing it was spring so I could get out in the garage and continue working, looks like I will be collecting parts until I get the garage insulated

Well I broke down and fired up the propane heater, couldn't stand sitting around in the house. Started on my firewall.

I liked the top portion with the rolled designs so I decided to keep that portion and make only the bottom half and blend it together

    Old cut out

Here is the top portion I will keep, as I said I like the design

Marked it from the inside by misting primer to give me the cut line
    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1387289930.038923.jpg
Started tacking it in going to hold off on welding it and blending it until I get the other portion of my trans tunnel done

Thanks I still have more to do until the dash is done but its a start. I'm debating on welding it in or having it bolt in and out, easier for wiring, and figuring out how the hell to make a windshield and frame
