Hello everyone, Im looking for 1931-32 Chevy Coupe trunk lid measurements. I'm do a project 1931 3 window coupe and it's missing the Deck lid, and the panels above and below the decklid. Therefore my project is very floppy in the rear and I need some measurements so I can fabricate my own decklid and upper and lower panels. I am building the car into a rod and it won't be on the original wood frame. Below are the measurements I need: #1 W x H decklid itself #2 Width of top and bottom of deck lid opening (quarter panel to quarter panel) #3 W x H of the panel below decklid (tailpan) #4 W x H of the panel above decklid (between trunk and back window) Thanks Greg
I had this same problem when I built my 31' 5w. I got some measurements from a guy on here with a 3w. I tried to line up the body before I got the decklid. I then got a glass lid from speedway and the body ended up being pretty jacked up. It didn't fit worth a crap. I would find a lid to square the body around or order the glass one and use it as a template then sell it. Just my experience. Good luck
