Hi my name is Vlad, (I was born in the states, my name is Russian for Walter, my father's name)with that said, I have a 1931 chevy roadster that I'm hot rodding. I want to go with a steering rack but, I want to keep the front parallel leaf suspension. Is there a semi simple way to install a rack? I appreciate any help!

Racks are designed for independent suspension. Can be done, but why? A regular recirculating ball type box is better for a straight axle suspension, either side or cross steer.

    Maybe he has the rack.
A friend of mine had one in an otherwise HAMB friendly '32 Five window in the San Jose (CA.) area in the early '70s.
Dave McBride was well respected at the Old Time Drags at Baylands, in Fremont: 109 MPH Flattie.
Rack was solidly mounted right behind the '32 'heavy' axle, outer tie rods machined to '40 Ford tie rod ends, '40 spindles. Turned like a dream, rack was damn near invisible. Well engineered.
Young Dave (24) p***ed away with brain aneurism, sadly.
