Does anyone have a picture of the original hinges on a 1931 Chevy 5 window Coupe. The trunk lid on mine had the original hinges missing and someone welded barn door hinges on to make it hinged at the bottom instead of hinged from the top. I have been trying to make a set of universal hinges work but they just won't work. A couple of pictures and few measurements would be so greatly appreciated. The thing that makes it difficult is that the lid lip sits on top of the body.

I made some for my 34 Chevy, got some hinges from summit (maybe Meg’s)
And modified them to work on my car. They are real strong, bolt to wood
Frame in two directions, better than stock I bet. The hard part is getting the proper
Angle where it bolts to the trunk lid so that the lid doesn’t bind at the back when
Closing. If you are interested I’ll send a picture.

  4. Hello, can you send me a picture of your 34’ Chevy trunk hinges that you made? Thank you
