1931 Model A Coupe Hot Rod I spent 3 years building this car. There is an incredible amount of details and custom fabricated/machined pieces from top to bottom. Extremely high level car, done properly from start to finish. Chassis/components were all completely sandblasted prior to paint to ensure best possible adhesion. Body was blasted inside and out before start of build, and was completely bare metal before any body work or epoxy primer was applied. 99% of the fabrication has been TIG welded. Exhaust welds were all properly back purged, etc… Unfortunately, a divorce followed completing it and I am liquidating my cars in order to buy a house. The car has approximately 60 miles on it at this point. It runs EXTREMELY strong. It is a handful to say the least at WOT. Drives and stops and handles incredibly well, and surprisingly, hooks up very well. Body: · Chopped 5” · The entire wood structure has been removed and replaced with 1.25” round tubing, bent/rolled to fit the curvatures of the body completely. Includes a complete space frame substructure in cowl and behind the seat to stiffen body up. (Doors fit and open and shut like a new car). · Custom made windshield header moved up in the body structure 2”, results in a windshield height of a 3” chopped car for increased visibility. · Dimple die punched visor rolled up and back slightly into body to also improved visibility. · Roof opening (more of a 32’ coupe shape opening now) is a tubular system, with a removeable custom louvered aluminum panel that attaches with Dues fasteners. · Louvered Decklid with Nascar hood hinges used for propping trunk lid open. · 1930/1931 Roadster Quarter Panels have been grafted to the body. This gives the rear of the car much wider quarter panel profile, very similar to a 32’ coupe. · 17 gallon fuel cell mounted to body tubular structure with aluminum flip open filler frenched into drivers upper quarter panel. · Entire floor system, crossmembers included is all new/custom. Body is mini-channeled about ¾” over the frame into the floor. · Tinted side and rear glass, no door glass or interior garnish moldings installed, but all garnish moldings come with the car. · 1950 Pontiac taillights · Custom Stainless push bar (polished) · 1932’ Grill shell, 3 core aluminum radiator w/custom fan shroud · Original 682-C Guide headlights, converted to sealed beam · Tamco Jet black single stage paint inside and out.
