1931 Oldsmobile windshield question

Does anyone know if my 1931 5 window Oldsmobile had a hinged windshield? Also, If I wanted to fabricate one, how to I hinge the windshild on the top allowing it to swing out a couple of inches on the bottom.

To swing the windshield just use a piano hinge across the top and that will do it.

 

Piano hinge might work if its straight across the top............OLDBEET

 

Anyone know what the original set up was? I am curious.

I have a 30 Buick that has a gear mechanism at the top that lifts the windshield a couple of inches into the header panel.
How about you other Fischer body types?

 

somewhat close, but i have a 31 chevy and there is a hugh long hinge (piano) that runs across the length of the frame it mounts to a wood piece and that is the pivot point....i can get pics if that would help.
