Hello, I recently acquired this old chopped 32 3w but all the wood structure is missing. Before I spend a small fortune on a new Brookville wood kit does anyone have original wood take outs that are for sale or that I could use as a template? Or should I create them out of steel? What do you recommend? Thanks in advance.
There was someone just listing a complete set of Brookville 3 window wood for I think about $1000 under retail. Do a search. Unless your a cabinet maker or a very accomplished metal fabricator the Brookville wood might not seem so high? A deuce 3 window deserves the best you can do.
Youve got a chopped car and no wood. To me the logical solution is to beg/steal/borrow the wood, or detailed drawings, and then get a wood guy to make them up, shorter to accommodate the chop. There's only 2 pieces really (4 when mirrored) being the b pillar and that over the door. The remainder is from straight planks which are very simple. Rear window mount is pretty straightforward too if you had the info. There's a few metal brackets too which I'd be tempted to get from Brookville. Jury is out on what to do with the roof section as you have a filled roof, but again it's pretty straightforward. A bandsaw could be in your future? Chris
I got my top kit here. He answered the phone when all others failed. Call him as their web page is wonky. http://www.shop.classicwoodproductsllc.com/V8-Ford_c4.htm
