This gastank is old and original. I need to fix and paint it. I bought this car stainless fueltank years ago.
I bolted it on my roadster. New Stainless is so expensive, maybe I stay decision use this original tank.

Big jobs are gas tank, steering wheel and make top aluminum.

I note also that I need to make new fuelline from pump to T-fitting.
Now line is just same line with generator belt..... Im going old and blind, didnt see that last week

Hi Aulitz, what's your seal for the rear side window?
    What's that?
It looks better than the original U-shaped one.

I may have missed it. Did you show the process of cutting your windshield frame down?

    Thank You Everybody.

Only few pictures about windshield. First I try to get it straight, maybe it was met bullets in its early life.... or
somebody was drive over it.... When You chop top, windshield frame and A-pillar angle is change too.
Its more V-letter style than when original height.
    Here few pics.

Now breakfast is eaten, very much coffee and fireplace is ready. I install garnish mouldings, windshield frame on body (Yesterday I broken one windshield, they cut and grind me new one. Good thing, it was only 30euro (30usd).

NB. Now I have decided that I send this HotRod to USA 2026. Plan is that car is in east coast August 2026. I have start to put money "2026 USA Trip Fund".
I want to drive coast to coast slowly in 2-3 part ( 2-3 x 4week). I want to meet face to face hot rodders there, I want to stop different American Car / Drag Race / Hot Rod / Swap meet -weekends. From East coast up to northern states, down to same way with missisippi, middle states, south,... Next winter I try to put all timeschedule on paper. Also need help keep my car there in Garages when Im while back home.

hmmm... I have big tolerances as they had in Ford production 30´s....

When I was Young, some old blackmith men said:
" Too much precision is a lack of professionalism "

Im not sure if I can translate it right to english, but it means "If You do OK quality/jobs, that is enought, those who are not going forward, they are stay to fix, fix and fix too much are not real blacksmiths".

Its over 6.00 o´clock in the morning, Garage is waiting for me

  18. USA hot rod trip sounds exciting. Remember, the USA is very large. East coast to west coast, shortest distance is 5,000 kilometers.
Looking forward to your trip plan.

Thanks for the windshield frame pics. I will be tackling that part of the project this coming winter. I am moving in June so I hope to have a new shop built by September/October. If your U.S. travels take you through the heart of the U.S. perhaps we can meet. I'm close to Pete & Jakes.

Lot the moderators know of travel plans so they can post. May find/organize group of rodders to drive part way with you. Make it a “ real event “. Start new post just about trip. Decide how many main hiways you want to drive at steady 70 mph. How much of country have you seen? Google museums, shows, you want to see. I have been thinking about 12 hour trip/2 days in hiboy roadster with SBC crate motor - easy cruise at 70 mph all the way; or longer pleasant trip on side roads.

    That is good idea !
I think I have also one one car follow me or somebody sit side of me. Many of my friends are interested travel there.
If something happens, good to have many contacts there.

I want to drive here, before send car overseas, maybe 2000-3000km so I can see that all works and have enough "spareparts" in trunk.

I have been drive rather much in west coast (when I lived there two long winter + vacation trips) but interested in see people east, north, middle.... I know, it is long way cross the country. That´s why Im interested leave car another hot rodders garage and continue travelling two times more.

I have dream driving own hot rod there like many Swedish are done. Now Im turn 60 (2026), good time to carry out plan. Earlier , before Oskar born, I was driving very much in Sweden. Nice people, very much interesting meetings.... I had plenty of tel.numbers, if something happens. Sweden is very long country , many times I or somebody of my Swedish friends know somebody who can help. Help needed many times. Once I take flight to Finland, come back to South-Sweden after 2weeks when get spareparts from USA. I rebuilt car and drive car home after weekend american car happening. Good memories even broken stuff while.... Nearly all can be rebuilt if get help there.

Finally weather is going better here. It was 2week cold period. next week +15dec. Today is my working day in market place coffee place. Oskar is come help me there and afternoon when we close place he comes garage put together his 1990 Honda Monkey, and he can help me if need to install something more than windshield... Good thing is that yesterday evening he send me whatsup and asked asked "are we tomorrow in garage" . For Oskar USA Trip is good thing and he is my "leader" there.

This week 2 - 3days i used horse race wagon rebuilding. Im so stupid, i promised this case too.... OK, those extra jobs give money for hobby, but I forget every time that I have made decision "Im not built anymore other people engines, cars.... "

There's an English language saying that has a similar meaning, but can also mean quite opposite and I've been struggling with it all my life, especially professionally:

"Perfection is (or can be) an enemy of good enough"…

    … tai Suomeksi sanottuna:
”Täydellisyys on (tai voi olla) riittävän hyvän vihollinen”.

  26. When you come to the USA, an interesting place to visit, and meet many hot rodders is the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing in Latimore, Pennsylvania. The Museum is at the Latimore Speedway, which has a great history of it's own. There is a lot of hot rodding in this area. It is about 100 miles from Matt Murray's Iron Trap Garage, also a great place to visit.

Few days gone, nothing happened in garage.
Today installed pass.side door ready, kick panels, windshield... Also cut, raised and welded trunk lid latch striker plate. Trunk lid innel panel is not original, so maybe latch is located 10mm upper than originally.

Easter is over. We spend one long day in garage. I need to repaint pass side door. Not big deal and paint.
Today I Started to make floor panels (Exterior marine quality plywood). I bought 2m x 1,5m piece and few cardboard from one of local hardware store. Cardboards need when I make top panel drawing. Im gonna use 1,5mm aluminum on top.
