Still have to make the kick panels. The lower stainless is from a 56 Buick.

I'm thinking a white 50 Chevy ****erfly steering wheel would look right with the rest of the interior.

I got some 737 p*** seat belts that need to have silver webbing put in them.

I'm getting closer to having it done.

I enjoy reading people's builds, but am very bad about not do***enting mine.

I have the hood and lights on it now and have taken it for a 5 mile drive.

It's very quiet inside and the $100 350 is running great. I have more in the zips water pump riser than the motor! A friend of mine has a 303 olds and hydro sitting is his shop and wants to get rid of it.......... Stay focused!

I must say I have been swayed by all the bad press for Coker tire, I also was not impressed with the phone sales staff. They just told me what they thought I wanted to hear.

So bad news travels fast and good news disappears.

I would like to say I had a great experience dealing with Jess at Coker. Solid info.

I got the bias look radials. 5.60 15 and 8.20 15s so far I am stoked and think they ride and look as I had hoped.

The only issue was in mounting them since they were shrink wrapped and took a set it took overnight with tubes in the tires to open them up so they would seat.

I know there are all kinds of tricks to get it done, I was dealing with a guy who had the best equipment, and knowledge. He also owned it so it wasn't like I was dealing with a kid.

So good on Coker for bringing these cool tires to market. I hope they last a long time at $1000 bucks a set.

Oh and they balanced with very little weight.

Don't think I mentioned it but when I went to the gl*** shop to have the green gl*** made they had a sample of Blue.

So I had it all except the windshield made and tempered in blue.

The windshield is green tint. I thought it would stick out but it doesn't.

Logride, thanks for the inspiration. I have one of these in the works and I can only hope it turns out as good as yours.

Looks great with the hood on Logride...I can tell you from experience that opening the hood doors makes a big deference in engine cooling.

.... ok question time ... how exactly do those hood doors operate ? Guess, I never thought about it, until today. Cable pull, or thermostatically controlled, or something else ?

Thanks Moose. I was wondering about that since it isn't sealed around the engine like it was with the original 6 cylinder.

    Kid,

The doors are manual with finger pulls on the outside of the door.
Can't wait to use them! Chevy must have been concerned with climate controil for the p***engers too. Cowl vent, roll up windshield, roll down rear window.

image.jpg image.jpg Modified the striping on the headlight bucket.

I have about 250 miles on it. It drives great with the Coker Bias look radials.

I used a S-10 rear without checking the rear ratio. when I put an axel seal in I found out its a posi.... And 3.08 gears.

With a 700r4 and 30" tall tires it likes 75 mph.

Wish my grandfather was still around to see your build. He had a 32 back in the mid 30's in the same colors you have. Only difference was the hood doors were painted blue and he had red stock steel wheels with black walls (he hated white walls, said it made a car look like a pimp wagon. I beg to differ).

You have a beautiful car there. Congratulations.

    Hey thanks

    It's just a style I like,

I totally get it when guys will look at my car and think or say they would pull off the fenders, trinkets, and give it a chop.

    I like those too.

None of those guys wanted to buy it when the parts were for sale though.

Logride..Every time I see your new pictures the car it looks better!! Great job. I've got a 700R4, S10 rear, 30" tires with 3.42s and it loves to cruise the highway too. In lock -up I'm turning about 2000rpm at 65mph. It's a great setup.

    Moose,

I'm sure the 3.42s would be better. But I'm sure you have at least double the power I have.

Not sure of the rpm at 75 but it's in the "red" zone on the vacuum gauge.

Great looking 32 Logride. Glad you're getting some miles on it. Love the pin striping. I love my cowl vent too!

Yea Tom, on a open car they take a lot of heat out from around your feet.
The 27 doesn't have one but I wish it did!
