Anybody adapted 1968 Chevy inline 6 to stock 1932 chevy transmission?

  2. It can be done but for the amount of work you may not be happy with the results.

The late Chevy 6 and the early Chevy 6 have nothing in common.

By the time you find the correct transmission adapter (the same as S.B.C. there was one made in the 50s Speedgems?) and build engine mounts would just as easy to change to whole running gear.

I would suggest trying to find a 55 and up 235 or better yet a 261, but the stock 32 Chevy transmissions are weak, (I couldn't keep transmissions behind the 261 in my 53 chevy), and you would likely be better off changing the running gear anyway.

My choice would be a 261 with a 4 speed and a 57 Chevy rear to keep things period correct.

^^^^^^What Robert said, except maybe a pre-1970 Chevy pickup rear axle if you want to keep your 6 bolt wheels

I used a Jeep Cherokee on my 32 Chevy Sedan.
6 lug, nice round center , and good width!
