Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for installing new gl*** and whisker/channel install in a steel car. I can get them in but not together it’s one or the other. Any help would be appreciated.

On my tudor I took the U shaped steel run loose at the back of the door to slide the gl*** into place. Then reinstalled the run, and with the window sitting loose at the bottom of the run, slid my fuzzy channel into place from the top of the opening. I used a single piece of fuzzy channel, that I had prebent and fit before I put the gl*** in the door. Then I used black urethane to glue the upper half of fuzzy channel into the door, using the gl*** to hold it up. I propped it up with short lengths of wood, and held it in tight to the door with spring clamps like used in woodworking. Will take a day to dry completely. Glue the lower ends of the fuzzy into the run, or use a pop rivet at the bottom end. Then lower the gl*** and install the window winder.

On my coupe I used a kit from one of the better suppliers. I had all the correct parts for the door. No issues. The kit I used didn't have a fuzzy across the top of the window. They supplied a rubber strip into the top for the gl*** to roll up against. I used gl*** setting tape on the lower gl*** channel and dropped the gl*** down thru the door from the top and then slid the regulator onto the lower channel. Raised it up and secured with screws. Not saying this is the only way but worked great now for 20 plus years.
