I’ve done a search but haven’t found exactly what I’m looking for. Is there a 12V pick up and float assembly available that will bolt into the stock Original 1932 Tank? I’ve found several pick up units that would work, but nothing that combines the pick up and float assembly.

Re-Pop tanks seem to have two holes, one for each system.

Overall I’m looking for options to use my stock, original tank, but have upgraded fuel pick up and indication.

Volume and pressure will be low, engine is a warmed over Riley Two Port with stock fuel pump.

So how are the traditional guys doing it? Are my only options to replace the tank or use a paint stick to measure the fuel?

  4. In the past when using a original tank I have simply drilled another hole for the 12 volt sending unit and leave the original fuel pickup in place. HRP

I used a standard Stewart-Warner sender, poked through the original hole with some redrilled screw holes to match. I welded a bung into the top of the tank for a new pickup tube. I welded another bung for a vent with a rollover valve on it.

@alchemy: Wasn't (isn't) there a large flat washer-type adapter that bolted onto the stock Deuce holes, then accepted the S/W type sender?
I may have this confused with the available F100 tank type, ('55 under floor) but seem to recall a bolt-on for S/W on my Deuce. (that was back in '58...memory dims)

I think there is, but why buy an adapter when I could solve the problem with a drill and tap? I needed to clean the tank out anyway since I was welding in the bungs.
