And if it's the one I think it is (chassis) it's being left essentially stock but with a new Brookville roadster body. Possibly hydraulic brakes. it's out in the country west of Cincy.
You are correct. The right guy got the original chassis along with the gas tank and stock cowl. All of us are extremely happy with the way it all worked out along with gaining a couple of new car buddies. The `32 already had hydraulic brakes when I owned it. Here`s a very bad phone pic of the coupe on its new chassis in mockup. No,he`s not running those wheels. It`s getting wires.
You did the right thing here....As stock 32's are only cool if you don't own them. I know this because I was in the same boat as you, And after 2 1/2 years of losing sleep wanting so bad to make a rod out of it, I finally said F**K it!! and went out in my shop about 2 Am and took it apart. Best thing I ever done, I have no regrets....accept one, And that is letting all these so called pures't clowns, (who prolly never even owned one) talk me into not doing what I wanted to do with my car for over 2 years. funny thing was, I offered to sell it to them in it's bone stock form, But none of them wanted to buy it, They just wanted me to keep it stock so that they could look at it every now and then. They all said the same song, Don't take it apart, don't do anything to it, keep it just they way henry built it,....blaa blaa blaa.......like I said I did that for 2 1/2 years, and finally it got the better of me.....kinda like telling your 5 year old to leave his toys in the box.....See how well that works out for you....LOL
