I have a orginal firewall and the feet are rusted i think about 11/2 inches up and i bought steel feet for it but the holes arent drilled yet and i just wanted to no what is the orginal height for the firewall.

  2. Just drill out the remnants of the old original feet and you will have the correct location point for the new ones. HRP

That's what I would do. And buy some correct rivets to put it back original style.

While on the subject of '32 firewalls, how much does the cowl have to be lifted to get the firewall out from the cowl? I've just pulled the engine in my pickup and there are a few extra holes in the firewall that it would be a good time to fill, but don't want to strip the body completely off - one thing I don't need is another complete rebuild! If I can just release the cab (how many bolts?) and lift it a couple of inches it might be worth a go.

You're going to have to remove all the firewall feet bolts and the body bolts and the dash tunnel bolts (if there is one). Then lift the body about an inch and pull the firewall forward.

Well, that doesn't sound too much work. I'll have a look under there and see how many bolts hold the cab down.
