Hello all! My name is Sven, I am 37 years old, grew up in Hamburg (Germany) and live in Berwyn IL. I have been building motorcycles for a long time but my wife doesn't ride and she want a toy too. We ended up with a 32? Ford pickup with a 2x4 frame a couple of weeks ago. Some things aren't as supposed to be but it came with a DeSoto 341 Hemi S26 in it, a clean IL ***le and it was cheap. She drove it home from the seller and the motor and transmission run good and strong. There is a lot of work that needs to be done and I have not really an idea about American made cars (only worked on metric cars e.g. '70s Opel). But I am willing to learn and from what I have read over the past couple weeks in several threads on here, I think this is the place to go when we may need some advice during the build. Sven & Liz
welcome to the hamb. there's quite a few hambers in your area. where was that truck hiding? looks like a good find.
Thank You for the welcome! The truck was in Aurora IL. I don't know if the former owner ever drove it anywhere. All I know is that it used to be red as you can still see it in several spots.
