As many of you know my Roadster suffered a engine fire back in March 2012. Ethanol fuel eat the needle and seat up and the carb flooded over causing the fire. Grundy paid the claim ... with no issues. But I have been slow getting fixing the roadster. Life gets in the way sometimes. I now have all the fire damage removed but I need paint repair to the hood, grille shell and top of the cowl. Jacked the body up off the frame ... took the firewall out , fixed, painted BLACK and then reinstalled the firewall. 1932 Fords are the only Ford that I know of that the firewall is separate. Set the body back down and adjusted everything so the doors fit great. Lizard Skin was not available back when I did the roadster back in the 70's ... but it is now. I have it in my 32 3W ... and it works great so I had to do the roadster also. Here it is all taped up and ready to spray. And now sprayed ... not yet dry ... I got a new SONY camera for Christmas and these photos are the first sucessful ones I have been able to post. Did a few a while back but they were HUGE.
It is a heat barrier type of spray on material. Go here ... http://www.lizardskin.com/car-ceramic-insulation.html
