I went by fellow HAMBer 3Deuces today. Buster and I went and had lunch and I shot a few photos ... before I headed South to see my 32 3W ... at the upholstery shop. A few years ago, Buster and I went to Mississippi and got this 32 sedan from a 71 year old lawyer. The Tudor had been off the road for over 40 years. Today's photos are in attachment form.
The sedan is going to be NICE ... like just about everything Buster does. The last 2 photos are of the 3W ... at the upholstery shop.
The dash is a original steel 3 window dash that has been painted to look like wood by Bob Kennedy of Whitter California. HRP
Randy------Hope we are not meeting you at next years LAR Fathers day show in one of these closed cars!!!!!!!!HA!!!---Just kidding, I know you will be driving your roadster for sure!!!!! That 3WND CPE. is coming along very nice!----The Tudor looking good too!!!-----Don
The wife and I plan on being there ... in the roadster But the roadster will not get the miles on it that it used to. When I got my ole 40 Ford coupe going and on the road ... I drove the roadster less than a thousand miles in 5 years. One of the most FUN things I have done while driving the roadster was to drive thru the gate in to the Los Angeles Roadster show. Those weekends stand out ... in my hot rodding memories. Then to go up the Pacific Coast Highway to the Golden Gate bridge ...
Yes ... it is a original 1932 3W dash. They were woodgrained from Ford ... back when it was new ... so ... I had Bob Kennedy of Whittier California restore the woodgraining on it. Bob Kennedy His phone number is 1-562-693-8739 He is the father of the well known Hot Rod builders ... The Kennedy brothers
Randy: Is this your car or Busters? Really liked your 3 window at the nats. My 3 window should be painted and ***embled by years end. I hope to get it upholstered by the legendary Jim McFall if it works out. Sorry I didn't know who you where. You've changed since the nats in 08! Gary
Randy, I know this is an old thread, but I ***ume he has finished it now. Do you have some photos to share?
Buster is still working on it a little. He is enjoying being retired and sitting down at his pond and watching the fish swim by. I will get some progress photos soon.
