i need some help in the early 1980's i built a 32 coupe which was called super duece. it was a candle apple red 3 window full fendered with a lot of anodized milled aluminum and custom hand made wheels. i sold the car and it appeared in several magazines. i am trying to find a pix of the car to put on my wall or possibly find out what magazine it was in so i could get a copy. any help would be appreciated

So, your asking about a billet laden Deuce on a traditional hot rod board, right? Hope you've got thick skin 'cause this could get ugly.

  5. So if somebody has to fire up their mill and make a fuel block for their Nailhead, or whittle out an aluminum oil cap for their Wayne-headed Chevy 6, that's a bad thing? I've got no reservations on using a mill or lathe to build a part rather than whipping out a catalog and buying something that probably won't fit.

Yeah, the billet craze got a bit out of hand back in the day, but you can't deny that some of that work was pretty amazing. It wasn't my cup of tea, but I respected the craftsmanship and ingenuity a lot more than some of the POS cars running out there with clothes hangar throttle rods and soup can exhaust systems that are supposedly built "just like they used to do it back in the day".
