Hot Rods 1932 Front crossmember

I know that a model A front crossmember will lower a Deuce by 1”, but is it really necessary, does anyone here run a stock crossmember in the front of a deuce with a dropped axle? Asking for a friend…

 

This one has a stock crossmember, a dropped axle, and reversed eye and slightly flattened spring.

Stock crossmember, 4" dropped axle, 14" wheels:

 

Stock frame & cross member, stock style non-reverse eye spring. 4" dropped axle, 16" Kelsey Hayes bent spoke wheels, 600 x 16 bias ply tires.
