    Do you have any photos of your master cylinder set up? Does anyone have photos of a master cylinder mounted hi against the crossmember? Thanks!

    @Mart
    O.K,
    I think I understand. Something like this will make me much happier and I still maintain my leverage ratio high.

    This was my setup:

    In the interest of full disclosure I did this about 10 years ago and the car got torn down . I am hoping to get back working on it soon. I haven't driven it yet.

    Much nicer. I think I will be making a new master cylinder bracket. Thank you for the photos. Also, where did you source that fitting and hose coming out of the rear reservoir?

    Mart's setup is definitely an improvement, but I would still be concerned with pedal ratio. This does depend on master cylinder bore, but an overall ratio of around 6:1 is normally desired. I have had better luck using a bellcrank arrangement to get the desired ratio.

    My master cylinder bracket sets back a little like Mart's does, and the plunger is close to the bottom of the crossmember. I'm not sure what my pedal ratio is. I built an arm just like Mart that has a 180 degree around the pedal boss. That way there's no possibility for it to crack and break off.

    A friend helped me diagnose a misfire at cylinder six. Turned out to be a bad terminal plate in the Lincoln distributor. Fortunately, my local Lincoln supply and dismantling yard stocks NOS replacements! E91748F8-10B6-4410-93EF-73F756B1FB51.jpeg

    I’m still playing with carburetors and timing, but it sounds great and stops excellent (and really smells like gasoline).

    I like the stock plug wire looms. I did a quickie clean up on a set that was donated to me by @HellsHotRods

    Used a n.o.s. Stewart Warner mechanical tach drive kit. I had to make a column mount bracket for the tach gauge.

    That is Zoey. Australian shepard/border collie. I can’t grab a tool from my toolbox without having to step over her. Twice.

    Chopped up an old headlight bar to mount onto the frame with ‘32 headlamps. I’ll torch the base ends into shape tomorrow once I decide on a good location.
