I have tried to search, but haven't found any good answers. So I am looking for some help here.

I have two different pedal sets for 1932. They are rather different, both the frame brackets, the style of the pedals and also the place of the grease fittings. The brake pedal on the black one is also about 1" higher from the "knee".

    Please check the pics. Thanks!

I have no answer, but i also have a pedal set line the rusty one
With the dimple(?) right where the bend in the pedal is.
    Maybe early and late????

  3. Or could one be Model B (4 cylinder) and one Model 18 (V8)? Don't know if pedal****emblies were different for 4 cylinder and V8, but that was the first thing that came to mind. Of course, it's also true that Ford made many running changes that did not coincide with a model year change.

The rusty set is an early production set. Not the "first" style of production, but still rather early. Noted by the nibs at the elbows, and the lubrication through the hollow shaft.

I've never seen a cast bracket like your black one seems to be. Maybe thats an offshore type thing.

A big truck has a mount that bolts up flat to the face of the crossmember (no legs on a BB crossmember), kinda like an F-1 pedal set.

As "Alchemy" said, the rusty set is earlier production and a lot less common with the grease fitting in the end of the shaft. Absolutely nothing wrong with using them.

The black set has an aftermarket cast aluminum bracket which I *think* is available from Vern Tardel. The later and more common pedal arms have the grease fittings in the pedals. This pair of pedal arms appear to be BB "big truck" because they are thicker/heavier duty. No worries there because the BB pedal arms are the same shape and layout as the thinner passenger car versions and when put into a passenger car bracket fit and operate just as well.

A couple years back we had a '32 Sport Coupe in the shop to straighten out the mess of a "good old days" hydraulic brake conversion. It had '39 pedals very poorly and unsafely installed so we repaired the k-member and replaced the pedals with a '32 set that the customer provided, which had the same cast aluminum bracket and BB pedal arms. The good news is that the bracket actually fits the frame and everything worked as intended, at least, in our case it did.
