I just gotta share this on the hamb ! hope ya get a kick out of this travel in time ! Casey. let me know if ya want any more ?
That's a great sale, I'm stopping by tomorrow! And here I thought selling toys and **** was something new for them!
Damn,wish i could order the"winged figure hood ornament"in the 8th pic.I'd really like one,but at $500 for a repop,not likely $1.69 looks so good.
man thats cool,,,,,,the artwork alone makes it so great...didnt realize pepboys was around that long,,,i was thinking the 1940s for some reason..
Thanks for sharing. I loved it. I used to work for Pep Boys out of HS. I also have a couple of old axle grease cans from the 50's. Its funny how the more things change, the more things stay the same. Looks like Pep Boys has always carried lots of useless ****. Though I wouldn't mind having some of that old "useless" ****. Then and today Custom taillights Hood ornaments Mud flaps Wash cloths Floor mats Horns etc,
next week the 1933 sears, roebuck and co. catalog ? I hate e bay !!!!! hope ya got a kick out of this , I thought it was to cool not to share? later Casey,
That's Max the Carburetor Cat, or was. Great kitty; always around and rodents whispered his name in terror.
Thanks much for taking time to show us more of the book. Saw your earlier pics in another post and loved 'em. Great to see more pages. A trip down memory lane and an amazing insight into several aspects of the American past. The current Pep Boys organization should step up and have reprints made - along the lines of the re-pop Sears catalogs.
glad ya liked it . a guy remodeling a pep boy`s in new jersy tore down a wall and there was a box full of these. brand new you would sware that they were repops, except for the rusted away staples.
he would have looked faster with a aluminum scoop on his head ! sorry about the was part. name the next one 97.
let me know if there is anything anyone want`s a close up of, I will be glad to share it with the hamb!
Freakin' AWESOME! According to the inflation calculator, multiply each of those prices by about 13 to get a current dollar equivalent. That 12 volt battery, for example ($6.95) translates as about $90 in today's terms. Two gallons of oil ($.89), about $12.
