This is a 32' pickup I pickup up last week. It was sectioned 4" back in the 70's, but my plan is to fix it back to stock height and fix any other sheet metal issues.

This project is purely to turn around and sell, so if anyone is interested check out the classifides add:

Why? That truck is so unique as is. Maybe chop it a few inches to match, but I'd never think to unsection it.

FYI, that's an early '32 cab with no rib above the visor.

  4. I would sure look for someone wanting to swap bodies before I "unsectioned" it.

God please, by all means unsection it! I for the life of me can't figure out why other than maybe the occasional chop some one would alter Ford sheet metal from '32. Save it sir!

Ha, he wasn't looking for our opinions..;)...but Yes, the first look made me think of the somewhat unusual autorama builds from the 50s. Yes, on the chop too. I suppose it would not be a comfy spacious cab:eek:, but it would have been so cool, because it's so rarely done.

I would love to find someone that likes it with the section, that's less work for me. But for re-sale value its going to be worth more in stock form for the most amount of people. Where if its still sectioned then that's going to be a very small amount of people that would want it. I would love to find a customer that would just have me build it how they want. That would be ideal. :)

If someone likes it sectioned and chopped then here is a reference photo for ya. No way I could fit in that though, barely fit in my dad's 32' pickup that was only chopped 5" and not sectioned. Ha

    :p

"most people" are what seems to define tradition in modern builds. That's the shame of it. At least those people can't buy up and burn all the little pages.:D

I don't blame you for building on spec, for a broader market, but it could have been such as dazzler to the hobby... rather than just another "normal" 32 that will be forgotten by the end of the week. And it will be forgotten, and give little notice for your shop's skills, IMO

I am betting your shop could do it better than the red one you just posted, as maybe you could leave the cab unchannled to give it it's own look, rather than cloning one.

If I hit the lotto by tonight, I want it chopped, chromed belly burner bedside pipes, and maybe some AlaKart paint details.. and you can choose the rest

  11. Cool truck you have some thing solid to work with. I wish mine was that solid to start with. Just asking does that look like a 34 not a 32?

  12. Dash, recessed removable firewall, and single rib on the roof, it's a '32

  13. Doesn't the 32 have a gas tank behind the dash? just trying to learn now to tell one from another.

stock height with just a top-chop would look much better than that sectioned thing right now
