I am debating on a model A frame or Z'd custom 2x3 frame for my 1932 pu truck... Looking for motivational pics

Just my opinion, but a 32 on an A frame is plain wrong. And if I were going to build a custom frame, I think I'd start with 2X4 or 2X6 and taper the front rails the way I wanted.

I agree, unless it's channeled to hide the Model A frame, but even then, it will still look odd.

If you can do something with a 32 1-1/2 Ton front frame rails...pm me. At least the fronts will sweep down like a 32 because they use the same fender as a car or pickup. I did not look to see if the rails are really tall in cross-section, though..

This is at a yard in south central M***. I just grabbed all the cab pieces, hood, and radiator today, so I know it is still there;)

32-34 BB big truck have a frame with a deeper cross-section than the car fromes and the 32 ones don't have the "beauty mark" crease down the side. That said, shortened up the work fine and you damn sure don't have to box them for strength...HAAA.

I don't know, I for one think the 32-34 cab on an A frame could look alright, I much prefer it to the look of the modified BB frame. I was going to use an A frame/bed for my '34 truck project but that got put on the back burner. This is my favorite that I've ever seen, I think it used to belong to Chris on here.

Here's mine on a custom Model A frame, "Z"ed front & back, but nothing drastic. It's the stock 104" Model A wheel base...pretty straight forward. I channeled it about 5-1/2." I'm very happy with the stance & proportions. It's a ball to drive, after a 3-1/2 year build. Hope this gives you some inspiration.

fleetside, that is a great looking truck, Ilike what you've done and was along the lines of what I was thinking.
