I know this is 33-36 but on the Minneapolis craigslist their is a beautiful unrestored 1932 willy sedan delivery for sale for $11k. I've never seen one, looks really cool.

I have no connection to the sale, just putting the word out for Willys fans, but this must be super rare.....

Bob Ellison was a good guy and a good friend.... It was tough hearing he passed away after the crash.. If New England Dragway ever does a memorial race for him, I'd be sure to attend..... God Speed Bob......

Bob was a wonderful friend and mentor to me for many many years, am putting together a memorial album to have at the nostalgia races at New England Dragway, if anyone has any pictures of Bob and or his cars (the willy's or the Boston Strangler Funny Cars or his chopped blown Merc) they would like to include I would love to have them in the album, credit for the photos will be captioned with the pictures.

Here's the article where Bizio ran the 8.48. It wasn't a fluke. He was flying all night.

I met Bob when he was building the replica....sorry I don't have any pics to share. Like I said earlier, I really enjoyed our conversations and was looking forward to getting the chance to have some races with him... I'm sorry for your loss, he was definitely one of the good guys.....

We have 4 nostalgia races at New England Dragway every summer, usually the last Sunday from May through August, it'd be awesome to see one of your Willy's make some exhibition passes there, I would like to try and establish a Bob Ellison Memorial Award for the nostalgia series, something I need to work on with the track officials that were friends of Bob.

On a positive note Bob's Willy's lives on, the motor and trans has gone to the chassis builder to be put in a 32 Roadster built in Bob's memory, and the Olds rear, parachute, spare motor, and some other various small parts are being used to re-create Ed Pearson's Bantam Fuel Altered, which will be debuting at Bowling Green this year. Not a Willy's anymore, but used to create a couple cars Bob would've been proud to wrench on.

  20. Sometimes they look good standing still. First up, Bizio truck in a spring car show 1988, in Washington state.

Thirdly, I at one time thought this was an authentic Ohio George car, but earlier posts in this thread have me confused. A tribute car perhaps, was there a later one? Kindly educate me please.

Like the 33 cars the best. Have a teenage memory of one on the street. Not a comon sight where I grew up.

Thanks for the cool pics. The Wilford and Coonrod car show pics are great. The last car is indeed a tribute car. I forget the owner's name, but it was unlettered for some time. The lettering may even be removeable vinyl. Thanks again for the pics.
