I mean no offense here......NOT starting anything; but I've been seeing a lot of moddern stuff being posted in this thread, the '37-'42 Willys thread, Corvette hot rods thread, etc..........doesn't that fly against the HAMB's 'motto'? I know that one of the moderators just recently deleted some modern stuff that was posted in the 'Drag Cars in Motion' thread. Again, I mean no offense to the persons who have posted this newer stuff; but I came to the HAMB to see the vintage/traditional stuff! LOL! Ed

OK, Ed. I'll drop out. Sorry I offended you and other HAMBers with "modern" stuff. I was unaware of your rules. Bye.....Hutch

I believe those are the HAMB rules.......never said anything about making up my own rules. If the moderators don't care to delete the modern stuff and allow this forum to slip away from it's original intent that's entirely up to them! There's no need to drop out.....you've posted a lot of cool vintage shots!

I am not trying to run anyone off. I guess it was all the modern stuff that attracted you to the HAMB, right?! LOL!

Rocky....Thanks for the support. After Ed raised the issue, I asked the moderator(s) about the winged car photos. They.. the moderators... are now in the process of deleting all images I have posted of what they have deemed to be non-traditional "modern" cars.
So be it..... and so long, HAMB.

Thats a shame.. I have a love for both the true nostalgia stuff and the modern stuff as well.... To me a 1933 Willys is a thing of beauty as a stocker as well as a nicely done six second race car (and of course my favorite a 60's style gasser)... Hope to see you over at the new Gas-Fx message board.. Its broken down into sections for modern and true nostalgia stuff... should be cool once it takes off.....

My 36 Willys P/U built in 1964 by Willie the Welder Feyh in Queens NY I bought6 it when I got back from Vietnam in 69. Had a 283/270 hp Corvette motor and 4 speed, I later put a 400cu.in and 400 turbo in it. The red is the color when I got it, I crashed it one week later when I hit one of those legendary NY potholes and a brake line broke. I have "Never" ran a single master cylinder since.

  22. I'll quote from the Drag Cars In Motion thread:

Nicely said, and I'll repeat it for emphasis: This IS NOT just another car talk message board!

This isn't an outrageous request and those who are participating in someone else's forum shouldn't try to rewrite the rules to suit their own needs and desires. No one's asking you to take your ball and go away; just make sure you're using a traditional ball!

A lot of gray area here.... We are still talking about 1933 - 1936 Willys...NOT a 2011 S-10. As far as "mid 60's"...does that mean all the pics of the Hill Bros car that ran LATE 60's isn't allowed either? (and my stuff as well..??) I really think we're getting picky here...

No grey areas there. His point was that the thread was infiltrated with posts of modern stuff.......which simply do not belong or fit into the HAMB guide lines. But of course....you already knew that. The moderators must feel this way as proof of them deleleting photos of modern stuff already! LOL! That is all I am going to say; as I do not want to get into a silly argument with you again. (You're on my ignore list now) So, let's get back to the pics!

I'm not sure if these shots of the Hrudka Bros. coupe were posted already, but here they are!

As per Mark's personal request; here are a few pics of the '33 Willys pickup resin kit I make (and one built), as well as a couple mock up pics of the correct chopped '33 Willys coupe I was offering for a while. I also offer a correct stock roof '33 Willys coupe body....Even my models are traditional in style! LOL! Ed
