Here is a better picture of the nut keeper for the hinge machine screws. Once I got it all set I disassembled everything, got the final sanding done and gave it a coat of linseed oil. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
How much does your Dad "rent" for? Sure could have used both his skills and mind several years ago even though I think cabriolets have less wood than a roadster. Both all Henry steel with tan one bone stock and blue one rodded. Your project is coming along GREAT.
The wooden part of all the doors is officially done. Two coats of linseed oil and they are reinstalled in the doors. These will go on the shelf until I get them swinging....then do the body work, I’m thinking about trying leading. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

Drool....my all time favorite Ford classy and sleek...could never wrap my head around why some of the '50's and '60's guys back east would stick a Deuce grille on
I got back on the roadster the last couple days. Made the b-pillar wood and made an extra set for a fellow H.A.M.B’er. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
For some reason I can’t find this style 5/16-24 t-nuts. I have enough original ones for the project. I had some left over from my 3-window. I was able to get an original set of b-pillar castings from a friend in California. These things are cast from unobtainium, so I was very surprised to get an original set. Those are very similar to the "T" nuts in old cable spools for big wire or phone cable. I would bet there are still a few of those around, or someone sort of like me has a drawer of them. Check that auction site for "5/16" cable spool barrel nuts"?
