I would like to replace the front fiberglass fenders on my 33 Dodge coupe with a set of steel ones. I have been looking for quite a while with no luck. I think maybe other mopars of the 33-34 years may fit but am not sure. Anyone know what might cross over?
I’m not a Mopar guy but years ago I had a ‘33 Plymouth PC hood that I sold to Rootlieb. I did some research first and found a website called Allpar that described the wheelbase changes the ‘33 Plymouth went through. I looked for your Dodge on the Allpar ‘site and came up empty, but I did find the info seen in this screenshot- I’m posting this as a heads-up, make sure anything you buy fits your car.
What @Fordors posted matches what I recollect, that being there were a bunch of different front body parts in those years. If you are serious about tracking down a pair of fenders, I'd suggest building up a Spotter's Guide for the stuff. Picture with measurements and descriptions of the differences. Not only for your own ability to make sure you get what fits, but also so people that have the parts and are interested in selling can confirm fitment and recognize what you need. Give a little to get a little. This is the info that has been learned and lost over the years.
33/34 dodge and plymouth fenders are basically the same. Having said that the dodge fenders have a body line/spear that runs up the front of the fender. 33 fenders are a more open side and 34 has a little dog leg on the sides Also there are a couple different wheel bases so the front fenders come in two different lengths Do your proper measurements before you look they are out there if you dig Mine are the longer style And being 33 you can see fronts are open and don’t have that little dog leg toward running board which are also diff between 33 and 34
Thanks, all good information. Some I knew and some I didn't. Should have mentioned in the original post that I have a late year PD 115" wheel base.
