Cool car that should be preserved. If you feel the urge to mess with it sell it to a traditionalist and buy something more rod-able.

Enjoy the car as it is. Once you start doing little things to 'improve it' such as polish and trim etc, you will see it's value fall. Remember, this car is more valuable as it is than restored. This car is a rare original survivor, it is the 'genuine article', once you start 'improving' it, it will never be the same again. Once improved or restored it will be one a**** many, as it is now it is one a**** few.

As far as a build thread i should clarify what i meant as far as "build". I plan on putting new or repop gl*** in it, getting the 6 running and making the interior able to be sat in. That's it. I WOULDN'T take a saw to this car. Its to nice for that. Thanks for the advice.

Nice score. Depending on your area (California) I'd estimate the value at $10,00-$13,000. In the mid west $8,000- $!0,000, maybe a little less. Just a ballpark guess.

  9. From everything I have read, the Chryslers of that era were much more advanced than the Ford's and GM's of the day. Nice find!

  10. Awesome find! Not worth a great deal, probably only a few hundred bucks, I will give you five hundred for it though! :)

What can I say I am a generous guy!

    Hope you enjoy it

Super cool find. Here is picture of our 1932 Plymouth. It hasnt been on the road since 1980. I got it running and drove it down the road, but it 's down on power. I am going to leave the appearance alone, but I do think I will put a more modern 4 banger in it..
I am also missing a radiator cap !!!

The Hood and the Windshield could make super cool parts on a Hot Rod!

They've got that Art Deco 'Go Fast' thing about them.... Cool!

So far all we have done is vacuum the interior and run a buffer over the car. It was amazing to see the 70 plus yr old paint shine like a brand new paint job!!! I still have not found a radiator cap, the last one i saw sold on ebay for 600.00!

Bullfrog that 32 is somethin else!

I know an oval track racer from LI who is into old cars and he had a slightly older Chrysler in the late 80's. Since the Mopars had juice brakes and the rubber mounted motor/trans it was a pleasure to drive, steered well at low speeds, stopped very well and with the Chrysler flathead would run down the road at 70 with no problem and there were absolutely no fear issues at any speed.

That car just needs the hydraulics verified as being good & the basic mechanicals checked out then driven whenever and wherever the owner desires. What a wonderful car.
