Picked up this project recently, but found something else to work on over the winter. Unsure of the history, but I believe it came from Kansas. I would say is raced in the early 60's at the latest, probably built in the late 50's. Sort of a time capsule, and pretty complete... Still has the old seatbelts in it. The hood was made out of an airplane wing. Body is pretty solid, both doors open. Obvious dents in the doors, but overall there is little rust. The rocker and bottom of the cowl/quarter were removed on the passenger side, but are pretty intact on the drivers side. Trunk lid is screwed shut, but it is the original lid and could be made to work again. The insides of the doors are gutted, but the original door bottoms are intact. Awsome restoration project, conversation piece, or a great body for a hot rod. Has great patina... Started stripping some of the yellow paint off, and there is some nice lettering underneath. Believe it was number 10. Has a Ford Y-block that turns over and should run with some work- I'll see if I can get it running soon. Unsure of the other mechanicals. Military jerry can for a gas tank. $4200 OBO
