It had been in the Clear Lake area, N of Vallejo since the early 70s. It was in the ‘71 Oakland Roadster Show, and it appears to only have a few hundred miles since that time. I found some pictures of it at the 3rd Andy’s pic Nic, there was some receipts that show some work was done and show a the customer as being San Jose ambulance. Does anyone know this car or know anything about it? Pictures?

    Yes, it looks just like that!! With a good 20 hour detail it’ll be ready to go back to grand national.

    We found the 1971 grand national roster and the description next to Ron Novachick is the car. Does anyone know Ron Novachick or where he got the car?? I am curious about the history prior to this. Here are a couple more photos.

    Cool 34! Put some 5 spokes back on it like the old pic.
    How about sharing some shots of the inside and under the hood?

    @MsPearl -

    Sorry that I'm late to the party (just stumbled upon my "mention" in this thread tonight).

    I'm not much help as I don't remember the car and I don't know Ron Novachick (of nearby Concord, CA).

    Note that the Frisco Rod Runnin' photo was taken by Andy @AndySS Southard Jr. (for R&C magazine) at ANDY'S 3rd ANNUAL PICNIC ... held on July 27th 1969 ... at the "Turtle Rock Ranch" in Walnut Creek, CA (which is right next to Concord).

    Here's a zoom of your coupe:

    You'll noticed that it was FOR SALE in July of '69 ... so perhaps Mr. Novachick hadn't even purchased it yet.
