Technical 1934 ford fenders

Ok i have a 1934 ford pick up.
I want new seel fenders.
Do 32 33 pickup fenders the same??
Who makes them and where can i get 34 pickup fenders from??

 

The 1932 Ford front fenders are the same as the 1932 passenger car. The 1933-34 front fenders are unique to the 1933-34 commercial vehicles and different from the '32. You can spot the 1933-34 pickup front fenders by a small raised area that clears the front cross member rivets (see picture). The curve at the front of the fender is slightly different and the headlight mounting location is slightly different. The rear fenders are slightly different from 1932 to 1933-34. You cannot buy Re-Production 1934 ford steel fenders. if you want new you will have to buy fiberglass. Now with that being said, you can in fact put 32 fenders on a 34 but the truck will be more laid out in the front than probably desired. Some people do it but I do not recommend it. Good luck, and your best option would be to find some original 34 fenders and fix them up. best of luck

 

SAR in Portland OR. sells new 33-34 steel fenders. Bob Drake sells running boards. But very spendy, they also have an ad on ebay as well as a few others. Several people on this board have contacted me when I put an ad in classified for 33-34 steel fenders. You may want to try that. Shipping to AUS. is gonna be a bitch. If you want fiberglass wait a while and I'll have a full cherry set.

 

New rears are being made but not the fronts.Place a wanted ad here and on www.fordbarn.com.Don't waste your time and money trying to fit 32 front fenders on a 33-34 truck.Chassis different,wheelbase different and hole locations as well as fender braces different.

 

I just spoke to SAR yesterday. They claim to have 33-34 fronts in stock ready to ship. And will continue to do so. Their manuf problems are solved. They have rears as well and you get a discount if you buy both in the shipping. I'm probably going to get a set and some Bob Drake boards when I've done moving to AZ. Cheaper shipping, or drive up and get em. They have a nice shop and could prob fit them as well. Don't know what the time frame is.
