  7. I had been looking for a 33 or 34 3 window Ford coupe , but I think this a bit different and will make a great hot rod.

Nice solid car to start with. Can't tell from the photo, does it have a solid roof? Bob

  12. The37Kid , This roof had the insert like most of the other brands made of the same era.
OJ Yes this car has some cool dash features and body trim.
This is a all stock car.

Beautiful body and looks to be in great nick, too. Not a bad starting point for whatever you have planned. And, it's not a Ford. :)

Nice looking motor. Me personally would keep the bodywork and wheels as it is.

  20. I am with you on this. The body just popped out at me . I actually like the overall aesthetics as pictured. With a upgrade in drivetrain. I have never seen one of these before but overall a cool car.

    >>Chopping it?>>

From these angles, already seems chopped enough.

^^^ Nash was very artistic in print advertising in those days. ^^^ Seldom photos of the cars all artwork.

Nash (well, Seaman Body, technically) had its own body plant on Richards street in Milwaukee, just off Capitol Drive: https://archive.jsonline.com/news/opinion/49747522.html/

Early automotive ads and artwork played fast an loose with the rules back then, almost always making the cars appear to be longer and lower than they were in real life. That said, I think this '34 body looks very well proportioned as is, and with unique details like the quad hood side vents and raised details in the fenders, not much would be needed to make this a head turner. When's the last time you saw a '34 Nash Lafayette, anyway?

  26. I agree with you 100%. The body proportions are in my mind great. The fenders on this model do not have the raised details as you mention, they are smooth. At this time , I have found that Nash made 2ea 3 window bodies in 1934 this one may be the cheaper model.

Whoops, I got caught looking at the primered car a few posts above. The hood vent detail alone is enough, and surely will make people scratch their heads a bit. :D

  30. in-the-pink . I agree with you. I actually even like the artillery wheels on this car. Maybe have the rears widened a little.
It does look like a cool car as is !
