35/36 Ford Five windows don't seem very popular fenderless, I only found one picture.
Anyone running one ? Got any pics I can look at ?
3 Windows would be fine too if fenderless.

Good Luck with this post. I long time ago I though about building a fenderless 38 Coupe and these guys showed me why they should have fenders. I have to say I agree with them now. But with alot of thinking and reworking it could possibly be done. These cars are not as bad as the year I was considering doing a fenderless model of. But non the less they do look much better with the fenders.

Fender attachment area in rear is WAY too big to fun fenderless. The east coast guys would run without fenders in front, but keep 'em in the back. there was a guy a couple years ago that built one in Washington St. like this - blue with red accents, made the cover of Rod & Custom i think?

Seems people are very set on this.
I thought this one looked OK, aside form being way too high and the grille being ugle.

Well, that IS a '35 Ford grille. I'm sure it would look much better with all the sheetmetal.
Those cars just NEED fenders. Seems like it would be nearly impossible to make one look good without fenders.

    Just my $.02.

need to trim a bunch of sheet metal to make them look ok

you could do your Ford like I did my old Plymouth here
chop, channel, section, tunnel and bob

There is 1 on here that looks cool. It has had its roof removed, but it would look good with a hammered chop. I think its owned by a guy that calls himself Tex.

Here is a fenderless 5 window 35. Of course it is a long 5 window (sedan).

  14. I prefer both the '35 and '36 with fenders, especially the '36 which has a really beautiful design. Here's some examples of no fender cars that I collected of the net.

I think this one one looks bad ***, and the grille suits it a lot better than the Ford 35 grille, which does seem to look OK with the hood sides on.

I see what you all mean about the area behind the back wheels though, looks kind of odd.

Unless, all you had was a body to work with, then fenderless would be the way.

Which would be the case. I was mostly just curious as to how they'd look, I am not even close to another project yet, but it never hurts to think ahead !

Is that a vintage chop top on that thing ?
If you've seen it how does it look compared to recent chops ?
Can you see much of the weld lines ?

No idea really. The chop look decent to me. We just drug it outta the
woods and a Hamber from WV drug it home for s**** price. Only
thing I noticed that would date it was the master cyl and hanging
pedal, but it looked like a last ditch attempt to keep it going. Can't
imagine it ever ran with that.
