This is a 1935 Ford Convertible Sedan that is almost 100% original. It runs well and road worthy. It is currently registered and street legal. It was pictured in the 2004 Hop Up, 6th issue, page 65. It has a flathead V8 from a later year. From the head bolt pattern is is a 1938-1946 engine. I bought it for a project car. Although it was nearly complete it was not drivable. Here is a list of the work that have been done to the car. I'll even throw in a cardboard standup of Emelia Earhart. (She rode in this model car for the 1935 Indianapolis 500) - juice brakes had already been added but they did not work. New brake linings, drums were turned, new master cylinder installed The emergency brake works well. - two new water pumps installed - radiator was cleaned and pressure tested - new carburetor and fuel pump installed (I have only been running non ethanol gas) - new exhaust system installed - new red top Optimum battery (6 volts) - 4 new period correct Coker tires (the spare is not new) - original starter was rebuilt (second starter comes with the spare parts) - replaced fuel sender and gas gauge - when I got it the odometer read over 46K miles but did not work. I had the odometer rebuilt by Bob's Speedometer and it now works but only reads 11 miles (extra speedometer in the spare parts box) - a new convertible top was installed included 2 new oak bows. The top iron was all POR15'd (a second new top comes with the extra parts, long story there) - all 4 fenders were removed to repair minor body work. Reinstalled with new felting and painted. POR15 on the underside, red epoxy primer on the outside - running boards removed, painted with epoxy primer and covered with rubber - after market directionals were added - lights all work. The headlight reflectors were cleaned and painted for brighter headlight - front rubber floor mat added - rear flooring was POR15'd and then carpeted (not original carpeting) The car comes with an ***ortment of extra parts like the original carb, fuel pump, wiper motor and some gauges. It also comes with a second convertible top. The installer had an issue and a second top was bought that was not trimmed. However the installed was able to solve the issue and did not use the second top. All 4 windows are operational and roll up and down but the gl*** in two on them is cloudy. Window tracks are needed on the window columns.
