I was at a local cruise night the other night and was just blown away by a really slick black '35 ford 3 window...full fenders and lowered to perfection...wasnt able to take any pics of it but got me thinking that theres probably a whole lot of em' here on the hamb.... saw somewhere that its considered one of the less desirable fords of the 30s...I really can't see why...its absolutely beautiful. so if you got em' post em' up! convertibles, coupes, whatever...post them up. heres a few to get it started:
yes lets keep this one going strong please! looks like theres a lot of street rod versions of them out there with the billet wheels, air ride suspensions and airbrushed big block chevys in them...not that theres anything wrong with that, but a nice traditional or inspired ride is always awesome to see....especially here!
I saw the same car - it really was sharp. I believe my son got a picture of it, I'll try to post it. Also.... Here is my old roadster:
I believe that Josh Mills is one of the best builders out there. His sense of style and his thoughtfulness in approach as well as his respect for tradition is why this thing turned out so well. Best '35 ever and he's the salt of the earth.
Just a few years 35s and 36s were ignored by most rodders. Then, lately they've become extremely popular, party due to model B's and later '37s becoming almost impossible to find and partly 'cause they're neater than hell. New steel and glass notwithstanding.
I also have to admit they were always on the back burner in terms of me noticing the lines and curves of this model year...both 36 and 35...I'm a fender less roadster/coupe guy myself and it's only been lately that I'm appreciating the beauty of fenders and how gracefull it makes the cars of that era look... Customs are cool especially when it's a custom hotrod!
I'll throw a few of my '35 up even though I think I over post it. Few more things until it's done done. SHocks, and brakes, that's it!
Here is my 35 3 windows. Car had been imported to Italy in the secventies, but they could never get italian plates. So was left outside for many years. Before and after
Another mostly all original model for you...This one unexpectedly showed up at my bbq, my friend had just taken delivery of it days before!
