It sure is. Check out my profile for the first pics.
Got it last november and in the process of stripping it completely, considering the chop and frame has been done but not much else.(chop was done by Ian Loska of scspeedco fame,San Clemente,CA.) Will start building again once the body has been sand blasted in order to prevent surprises later on. Setting it up for a 392 hemi (did have 350/400 combo) being built right now by hemihaines in Daytona Beach. One step at a time. Will start build thread later, when I get some decent pics. Good luck with your ride, I've been watching closely for ideas. Looking good!

I just found this thread today. Don't know how I missed it. I'm more of a custom guy than a hot rod guy so I'm REALLY digging this. This car is going to be famous in my opinion. It appears you have done a lot research and a lot of standing back and looking to make sure it is right. Folks like you inspire me to continue to learn and improve. Theres a ton of talent on this board. I'm just honored to learn from all of you

ok so here is just a rough idea how the grill is going in. this is not final or anything, this is more of a mock up and the peice i made was a quick 3 or 4 min. piece just to get the idea of the flow to see if i like it.

I think that'll look cool for sure. Keeping a peak down the center??

Also love the '36 Ford (Boobie) headlights on a custom!!!

  13. Looks good! Are you planning on running a hood and hood sides?

As far as a hood im trying to figure out how to keep the front from looking so long. I know i should run a hood but i will say with the hood on it, i think throws the proportions off for me. The front end looks a mile long and i dont like that. I was thinking about maybe shortening the hood to bring the line on the cowl foward more giving the illusion of a smaller nose. I havent got that far with the car yet. As the car comes more together i can try to figure it out. i would like to run the hood, i got 37 chevy hood sides to add on also.

    There goes the neighborhood :)
I knew it was just a matter of time til someone else around here used that grill in their custom. Good thing I got rid of my 36 Ford headlights.
Sure looks like it'll be easier to adapt to your existing opening than it was in mine.
    Looking good man.

SO AFTER LOOKING AT A BUNCH OF MID 30'S CARS I DECIDED TO CHANGE MY TIRES TO SOMETHING A LITTLE BIGGER TO FILL THE WHEEL WELL MORE AND ALSO RAISE THE CAR A BIT MORE. I ALSO STARTED ROUNDING THE CORNERS ON MY DOOR TOPS.

Its crazy how you start building something one way and in the end it turns into something so different.
