looking at a 1935 Plymouth coupe w/rumble seat nearby, the sheet metal is good... BUT! there is no frame! What year frame of Plymouth/Dodge would fit a '35 coupe? Do Sedan and coupe frame have the same dimensions?
This is a good question for the regular hamb Just finished a 33 ply. They had two different wheel bases. I do believe there are 2 wheel bases in 35 as well. I’m just excited you didn’t mention a S10
If I remember right, you need a 35 frame. It has been a long time since I messed with Plymouths. I think they had 1 common wheel base. Dodges had a 4' longer WB.. I don't think a 36 frame will work.
I don’t claim to know for certain.....but.....’35 and ‘36 bodies are near identical. That being said, it seems to me that the chassis are also either the same or very similar. The 1935 and 1936 share a common 113” wheelbase on all models except some very long wheelbase specialty models.
You can't get much further from me and still be in the continental states. I just found a car that was thrown in a ditch on a farmers field and mangled but still has what appears to be a decent frame under it. It's about the only thing still useful. Probably could be had for cheap or free. I really like the 35/36 plymouths.
