Does a 36 driveshaft just pull off after you remove the torque tube?

If it is the 36 tapered tube driveshaft, the rear coupler is part of the driveshaft. Just 1 pin to remove.

Not originally. Maybe it's covered in grease or rust?

    Hi Coopsdaddy,
Am I missing something? What car are you asking about? Are all cars of this era the same? I'd like to know about a 36 Ford. I'm about to take mine apart.
    Thanks.

I am trying to get the coupler off my 39 (two pins). Not successful yet even with the peening removed. May have to drill it out:((

I finally got it out but I had to grind quite a bit of material off of the peening before I could get the right drift size/position to drive it out.
