My 36 3 window coupe has a SC ***le with a build VIN number (not original sn). I've found the original serial number on the frame but I've had no luck getting the VIN/SN changed on the ***le. My question is on the SC ***le it's got the following info:
    1. VIN/SN on the frame my sn is 3,200,**x "on a ***le should the VIN/SN be 18-3,200,000 being the 36's production numbers started with 18-x,**x,**x? or should it be just 3,200,0001936
    2. Year: 1936
    3. Make: Ford
    4. Model: ***le has "coupe" shouldn't it be "68" for a 1936?
    5. Body Style: my ***le has "2S". Body style for a Tudor Sedan is 700, roadster is 710. what's the Body Style designation number for a 3 window coupe? also does the 3 window and 5 window coupes have the same body style designation number?

    thanks for any help.

b36f.jpg My '36 Cabriolet came with a Va. ***le.
It does have an "18" prefix in the serial number but just has a "Conv." body designation...no distinction between Roadster or Cabriolet.
I ***ume those are "old time" terms no longer used by the DMV (like 3W & 5W).
