    Guys:
Have looked at the earlier posts but still need to ask. Does anybody know if a new 4-5/8" speedo will drop into the existing speedo hole on my 36 Ford dash? The other smaller gauge holes are 2-1/2 to 2-5/8. An adapter ring/bezel will be needed there. My main concern is the bigger speedo hole. Thanks.

Ford speedometers of that vintage fit a 4 3/8” opening.

I cut the gauge hole area out of my '36 dash, welded a blank piece in the cut-out area, & cut new holes with a hole saw, for the gauges I wanted to use. Fun, easy project and unique to my wants & needs.

I'm hoping to just open the hole a bit to 4-5/8" cause I'd like to save the woodgraining that was done some 30 years ago. It still looks good.
