I was thumbing through the May issue of Hot Rod Deluxe and came across a couple of photos of a 36 Ford. Apparently this same car graced the cover of Hot Rod magazine in 1948. I came across it first at the 2007 Hunnert Car Pile Up. At that time I interviewed the owner. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jf3EF6dfwpk

  2. Bob Pierson's 36 coupe was on the August '48 Hot Rod cover and it has pretty well been documentedas being alive & well.

As cool as this cabriolet survivor is, I don't believe this is it.

Hot Rod Deluxe is a bit confused...HERE is the Pierson Bros. '36 that was on the August '48 Hot Rod cover. As you can see, it was alive and well at the GNRS complete with poster board and vintage photos.

So Hot Rod Deluxe screwed up. Which Hot rod magazine hasn't screwed up yet? as far as anybody knows.
