1936 Ford Phaeton. This car was pulled from a garage where it had sat for more than 60 years. When I got it, it had been stripped of all of the stuff that would unbolt, which was scattered all over the house and garage. I gathered everything I could fine and what you see here is just mocked up with a few bolts and washers, it will need to be assembled for real by whoever ends up rescuing it. This car was stored away forever but it was no virgin when it went into the garage in the 1960’s. There are plenty of different layers of paint and varying levels of rust repair that could be done in a couple of areas. The worst of it is in the lower cowl on both sides, and some of the floor. There is also a spot where the front sub rail on the driver side has rust. The cowl is not bolted, doors do open and shut with some help. Has what appears to be Lincoln brakes front and rear. Long shackles in the back. 59AB and a side-shift trans are in place but condition unknown. Has a column shift sitting in it, not attached. Has bitchin old solid hood sides. I have seat springs, top bows, spare tire cover and some other Misc pieces. I have a chopped windshield but sadly the stanchions were lost long again. There is an old Oregon title with the car. This would make a really bitchin patina-custom, or take it to the next level and make a nice car out of it, either way. If I had room, you can bet I would toss a running Flathead in this thing, give it a quick mechanical makeover, put the body back together permanently and drive the hell out of it. The hub caps and skirts came off my shop wall and do not go with the car! (I had to see it with them on it) Someone could be cruising this by spring easily. $(sold) location is near Portland, Oregon. ironandsteele.com
