Nothing worthy of pics but I have all of the bed floor supports welded in and the hood prefit along with mounting the fender brackets, radiator and making the strut rod braces. The cab supports are done and fuel cell is modified and mounted.
The bed is cut to fit and mounted.
Went to a buddys garage and used his bridgeport and lathe to cut down and modify a `40 Ford column and it is mocked up and waiting for the seat for final fit. Floor cross supports are in.
    A little each day...

Was able to spend a little time on the truck the last two weekends after dealing with some illness in the family. Mom`s doing better.

Finished out the front suspension, fuel system and wood for the bed.
A buddy gave me five ash boards long and wide enough to plane, joint and route out for a five board system. The wood is way too nice for the truck but it was free! That took a full day just prepping the wood boards.

Installed new 2" drop spindles and 3" blocks on the rear to get this thing down to a decent ride height after all the weight is in.

Got my heater, fuse block. front and rear glass installed and started on the floor panels. The steering linkage and column are figured out and fabbed but off until the wiring is done.

Hammered out and welded up the rough fenders/boards and gave them a coat of epoxy primer. That`s the way they`re going to be run.

    More to come....

Speedway sells them. I found it a year ago laying on a table at a swap meet for 1/2 price brand new. Figured I`d use it someday...

This is a pretty simple wiring job so I`m going to wire it from scratch.

Some more done this last weekend.

Bedwood is laid out and cut for fuel cap access.
Fenders/running boards are mounted and braces fabbed.
Alternator mounts fabbed and dash gauges mounted.
    Toe plate fabbed for floor.

    Starting to resemble a truck!

I`m stealing the bench seat from the `30 coupe in my avitar which will receive a scratch built seat that`s lower and further back. Been meaning to change out the seat for some time. Now I have a reason.:)

Nice truck....It's refreshing to a see'36 pickup being built to actually look like a '36 pickup instead of chopped, fenderless, shortened , and slammed....

Sat it on the ground this weekend to do the alignment and finish the brake lines from the top. Also wanted to look at the ride height.

So far the stance looks ok but I`d like to drop it another inch. Need to see where it settles after all the weight is in.

Still have to bleed the brakes and wire it then off to the exhaust shop.

You are doing a great job.

Can you give us the spec on the wheels and tires? The look perfect on the truck. I am looking to get a set of my own but want to make sure the fit is right on.

    Front-165/80R15 Nexus-15x5 Ford stock steel/ 3" backspace

    Rear-235/75R15 Mastercraft-15x7 ford stock steel/ 4"backspace
(running 1 1/4" billit spacers for bed clearance w/8"Ford rear 58" width)

At this point I could drop the truck another 2" without running into any clearance issues. Lots of room.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your radiator? I'm working on a 36 with a 350 olds and there isn't a lot of room.

Radiator is from Southern rods and I believe it`s for a `32. Fairly inexpensive if I remember. Around $200

As for updates I`ll take some pics tonight but little has changed.
Interior floor is done, brakes are bled, transcooler lines are done along with some of the wiring.
