    Hey Everybody!

I have a 1936 ford truck and am considering trying to make the rear window roll down just like the coupes do. Has anybody done this? I realise there was an option to have the rear window slide. I think it would look better rolled down.

Do you think a mechanism from a coupe can be adapted to the pick up cab some how?

    Any input would be appreciated

  2. You'll need some 'C' channel, formed in a rough 'U' shape (around the top, straight down the sides) so that the window can move up and down.

Then, you'll need something (another 'C' channel) to attach the the bottom of the window, so that your mechanism can attach to the window.

Next, you'll need a mechanism. Easiest would be cable and rollers. And easiest to adapt would probably be late-model car. I know that Hyundai and Nissan both use cable and roller in their cars. Further, they have an inner door panel which holds the whole mechanism, and that unbolts from the door. Grab one of those. Good pattern, and you'll have a motor.

  3. Where there is a will...basically all you will need is basic parts,,some of this is a must some not so necessary,,I just copied this from macs ,,it's model A stuff.

You will need some way of trapping water and a drain. HRP
