Max had to finish the right front quarter section by making another small patch.

A little fab work has to be done to make it so the rear Quarter windows will roll down before the new quarter filler can be installed.

Stock... (Hope I got the right model!)

And a couple of versions. What do you think? Too stock looking? Too much like a 57 Chevy? (Ignore the colour and four doored-ness) I was just trying to clean up what was there already, rather than start from scratch.

The owner is leaning towards 57 or 58 olds front bumper, custom grill, my be 57 olds head light bezels . It will have possible custom hand made tail lites, rolled rear pan with bumperets at present no side trim. Its just gotta look clean & sexy we want to push the envelope some old classy 60's 70's with a modern updated twist. Wide whitewalls, maybe chrome wheels with spider caps still thinking on the wheels, air bag system. It will have a Jag front & rear suspension Pontiac Motor over drive auto trans So we are open to Ideas.

We do a lot of projects that are not necessarily H.A.M.B. friendly but the work we do all has good content for reference work on other projects that are H.A.M.B. friendly so I will mix it in some time unless Ryan or the other moderators or member's do not want the how to metal content. To me metal work is metal work it's all about the learning experiance content. So here we are repairing a pair of box sides & tail gate.
    DSCN8195.JPG
    DSCN8196.JPG
First the center braces were removed.
    DSCN8199.JPG
Next the outer rolled over lip was turned up.
    DSCN8201.JPG
    Then that panel was removed.
    DSCN8204.JPG
Bottom section the lip turned & the section removed.
    DSCN8209.JPG
    Same process to the top.
    DSCN8211.JPG
Several holes will need to be filled.
    DSCN8213.JPG
New bolt retention recess's had to be made.
    DSCN8173.JPG
    DSCN8174.JPG
After all 3 panels are disassembled they will go to the blast shop for clean up.

We are really starting to like the new top profile as we work on the chop amount & roof line flow. It makes a big difference being able to roll it out side to take a look once & awhile.

I know it´s the wrong colour and all, but here it is a bit more "finished off", to give you an idea. You don´t really want to lose the side chrome do you? The spear will look too short if you do.

James D the spear will come forward to about the roll down line on the rear window or so still playing with it. Our main concern now is the top & glass fitments. I will pass your rendering on to the owner thanks & keep the ideas coming.
